It was really enjoyable to read your narration about GKC puram, I too visit this place regularly since 1989. In 2005, I became a Dy. Superintending Archeaological Chemist, with ASI , and visited this temple as ASI officer, had the opportunity to go inside temple and top of the tower with ASI monument attendants. I had the great experience. Even in the books of Dr R.Nagasamy Sir, There is no mentionen about the inscribtions of RJC on the Outerwalls similar to Peruvudayar Temple which were demolished during the Brittish Collector for the construction of Lower Anaicut. The local community also not aware of the Greatness of this Historical Tamil Empereor's Temple who invaded entire South Asia.
