Kundavai - Aditha Karikalan - Arumozhi are born to Sundara Chozha & Vanavanmadevi (D/o Thirukkovilur Malayaman).
Madurantakan was born to Kandradithan (Elder brother of Sundara Chozha) and Sembian Madevi.
Incidentally who ever "brought-end" to MADURAI - rival Pandiya's Capital - was termed themselves as MADURANTHAKAN - including Rajendra.
When Madurantaka ascended to Chozha Throne after Aditha Karikalan - Crown Prince's Death - he was calling himself UTHAMA CHOZHA!
Inscriptions describe him as SEMBIYANMADEVI THIRUVAYIRUDITHA UTHAMA CHOZHA.
Because of the clouds in his ascending to the throne - Kalki - split his character into two : Madurantaka - who was not so masculine - hiding himself behind women. Sendhan Amudhan - who was god-fearing and good - was the outcome of Uthama Chozha.
wow... and even after all that there is no answer? in the english version it is almost clear that veerapandyan is nandini's father as well as madhuranthakan's father however i'm still confused as to who that little kid is in the forest... ranjini
