Yes. The kalvettukal contains tamil numerics only. Ka, U, Su, etc. The measures and units (like sandhi, kalam, etc) are mentioned in sanskrit symbols. During the initial period, it will be funny if we try to read a kalvettu. When we went to visalur with Dr.K, we tried to read one of adhitha karikalan's inscriptions. In that the recipe of curd rice (thayiramudhu) and ghee rice (neyyamudhu) were mentioned. It was very interesting and had lot of numbers and measures.
