I found out about this yahoo group just today and i joined right away. My father introduced me to the wonderful and magical world of PS when i was in 6th standard. It was the summer holidays and i had nothing to do, was bored. when i complained, he gave me the first 4 volumes of PS and asked me to read it.
I still remember the nonchalant way i started reading PS, something to do to pass time....then how i got hooked on to it, how the characters became part of my life and imagination, my utter adoration and fascination with the narrator, Vandhiya Thevan.
at that time, the 5th volume was just coming out in Kalki Weekly. from then on, i just waited with bated breath for Kalki every week and savored every word of that 4 to 5 pages of story. hmmmm....those were indeed magical days.
and passion for Kalki's masterpiece. in fact, many have such vast knowledge about the history and background of the book. i am right now in San Diego, CA., unfortunately dont have access to a copy of PS, so anyone discussing anything about PS is greatly welcome.
I am a new member(???) to this group but joined some three months back. I am a silent observer. I find all the postings in this group very much interesting. Keep it up.
I am able to access the database. Just now I updated the database with my details.
