a very disturbing week. sapped all our emotions and like logs of wood we kept watching the television screen.
to take my mind of it i resorted to reading. the book was called COME TELL ME HOW YOU LIVE by agatha christie the famous detective story writer.Christie has been calledby the Guinness Book of World Records, the best-selling writer of books of all time {her collected sales is roughly four billion copies of novels) this book is not a detective story. its a narrative. not many know that agatha was the wife of an archeologist mallowan who dug extensively in egypt and mesopotamia.Christie's travels with Mallowan contributed background to several of her novels set in the Middle East. the book describes how archeologists worked in the 1930s. co incidentally thats the time a lot of discoveries were made in india too. i recommend the book for those with even a light affinity for archeology.
