AS A MARK OF RESPECT TO THE INNOCENT VICTIMS & POLICE PERSONNEL SACRIFICIED THEIR LIVES IN THE MUMBAI TERROR ATTACK, WE WILL BE LIGHTING MOKSHA-DEEPAM IN TEMPLES BETWEEN 6 PM AND 7 PM AND PRAY FOR PEACE - on behalf of our Group and Heritage and Peace lovers.
Dear Friends, I'm so sorry to hear about the terrible things going on in Mumbai at this very moment. I'll be there the night of 12/24 and don't plan to change any of my arrangements. I'll be with you in spirit.
Today is the American day of Thanksgiving, a majority of our citizens praying that our terrible wars will finally end soon. Kathie B.
101 Deepms lit by those present in Chennai Mylapore Kabali Temple as Moksha Deepams .. this evening with prayers for the Departed Souls to rest in Peace.
About 10 minutes meditation (silence) observed at Gandhi mandapam for the victims of the Mumbai Terror - this evening.
Friends also conducted similar prayers in other parts .. like Thanjavur / Srirangam.
Thanks Katherine; We should unite in showing these cowards that we are not scared these acts wont gain them anything. India as a civilisation has been through a lot since 7000BC and although we feel sad we wont let these cowards change our lives.
Checking my mails after almost a week. Got relocated to Omaha, Nebraska from St.Paul. Still in Hotel. Waiting to get an apartment. Worst thing, have to travel this weekend to Delawar on a business trip and not yet settled in Omaha....andavanukku than velicham...
Saw the news of Mumbai attack yesterday and was shocked.
Kathie's spirit is laudable.
Sharing the grief with all...but at the same time, wonder how long we will be saying the same dialogue....they cant shatter us...etc...
endur thaniyum engal suthanthira dhagam....still relevant. yet to get total freedom in our country....
As Sandeep rightly said, we have gone through such things for 1000's of years and we will surely get thru this too....but how much sacrifice we have to make is the question.
