VIKADAN - KALKI - KUMUDHAM
  • I do know that Devan (" Thuppariyum Sambu " comdedy serial fame) and
    Kalki are contemporaries.

    S A P - in 1940 - 50s ? Will have to get into details.

But then this information-line is very much interesting ::

VIKADAN :: Brief - Kalki entry - exit (with misunderstanding with
    Dyon SS Vasan). Devan entry.

KALKI :: Inaguration - high points - Kalki demise.

KUMUDHAM : Inaguration and high points till Kalki's time.

With this data, we can look at things from Writer's View points and
    Editor's view points.

for Archieving purpose, I have changed the subject.

I request Venkat to open.. followed by other Writer members
including Dhivakar / Pavithra (are u there watching? )/ Rajni Ramki
    (? !) and others.

    best regards / sps
  • Dear sps,

Thanks for still remembering me - I've practically vanished off the face of
    the earth :)

On an aside, just thought I'd share this with you: I've written two
shortstories for Chandamama based on Thamizh history - one is set in the
Kalappirar period and the other is based on King Sevappa Naicker. They're
under the series : 'A Page from Indian History.' I'm thinking of continuing
the series over the next year. :) - want to do my bit in popularaizing Tamil
    history with our kids.
