    papers on various aspects of early Indian influences in Southeast Asia.
    The themes of the EIISEA conference include "naval expeditions of the
    Cholas", "archaeological and inscriptional evidence of early Indian
    influence", "ancient and medieval commercial activities" and ``regional
    cultures and localization".
