Hi sort of got the confirmation today that chennai book fair 2008 would be held in St. Georges school- opposite pachaiyappas college from jan 4th - jan 17th 2008. this preliminary info is mainly for outstation members to plan a visit.

If you had problems last year findng books it may not change this year. infact last year's historic crowds will continue. infact last year's 460 stalls are being increaded to 530 this year. 6 entrances and exits.
I would like to lay my hands on venkatesh's "thillayil oru thirudan" and divakar's "visitrachittan". Also wud like to buy "venkayin maindhan" and some chandilyan's and devan's novels(at a discount, i presume ). Also can somebody tell me if i can get "colas" by KAN and books by sadasiva pandarathar at this book fair.. eagerly awaiting this.
why dont u organise book fair virtual tour and courier service for non residence tamils.
if u send list of the publishers websites and other informations , friends can order their requiremtns to you. hope more then 100's of our members are in abroad and other parts of india.

Hi Quite a few online sellers with a wonderful portfolio. anyindian.com, newbooklands.com browse thro their collection. i doubt except higginbothams main shop nobody has such a collection.
best thing is they dont need storage space. and two they are excellently catalougued.
