There is a genre called Alternative Fiction, like what would have happened if Jesus survived crucifixion. I had something similar in mind. Is the first option you mentioned something like that Doctor??

is Kalki the best you've read?
Yes, he is my favorite. The first Tamil Novel I read is Kalki's Parthiban Kanavu. I was pretty young and could not really understand which part of the story was fact and which is fiction. When I read PS, it brought the interest of history in me…

One of the novel I read starts like this, the most enjoyable job in the world is being the Vice President of America. You don't have the daily choirs of the president, but with all the power and luxury he could afford - VT is quite like that.

Never in the Movie indian Army is mentioned, though there is a specific mention of Ex-Millitary. As for the movie - I have watched fight seqences in Gladiator with a fascination and jealousy with a feeling when an Indian movie is going to have this…

Thanks. It should be sensible and watchable, that is all I want. I was pretty disappointed by the Behindwoods review, may be many would be turned off by this kind negative review. I will revert with my own review after watching the movie.

I read somewhere, that if a Sivalingam has a Mercury lining at the bottom pooja can be done by anyone or it does not need pooja at all. There is only one Sivalingam like that in south it seems, in Esha Yoga's headquaters - Velliyangiri. In nort…

Is Jainism an offshoot of Hinduism
HI Shankar, I agree with you. I spoke to couple of my Jain friends but they mostly are ignorant beyond Mahavira or their history. If Mahavira is the 24th and last tirthagara and his time is about 580 BCE, they should have had a very rich history. T…

How much of Indian History is Hindu History?
I have couple of very primitive questions related to this topic. 1) When did the word Hinduism came in to being? 2) Does the kings before 14th century thought themselves as they are from the same religion - I mean hinduism? 3) As I understand, even…

Vaticans stand on St Thomas
Nice Article. If we simply accept the dates of Thomas visit as true, it is not ironical that it took 7-8 centuries for christianity to take a firm root in sub-continent, much more time taken by Islam - (ofcourse I understand the method of conversion…
