dear sps
very much true. after sastry's period we have not come up with any earth shaking findings. true. many historians like your friend in trichy unable to withstand the departure from True History would have made their escape.
I am sure a lot of inscriptions have been deciphered if not most.
the problem is the same trend that we see in them.
an amatuer might even feel if you have read one you have read them all of course professionals know better.
thanks to the thread yesterday i spent the evening reading karuvurars poems. ( I am still in the fouth thirumurai, years away from him) swetha tells me kudavoil has included a translation of his songs on big temple in his book
in fact some word struck a memory of kalki's description of thanjchai. in the weekend i plan to do a word search on ps text in my pc to find out similar words
I am sure kalki read karuvurar before deciding on his text for ps
in fact karuvurar( if he had lived in rrc's period) has given the eyewitness account. his temples date is no issue. 400 years after arunagirinathar visited mylai a temple was built for him. the important thing is when the temple was built a legend was prevailing about karuvurar.
