dear mr.diwakar we can place vallalar easily in sidhars rather in nayanmars. attn: swetha madam umapathi sivam, gurugyanasambandha swamigal, etc, are other important sivanadiyars, i some where read that umapathi sivam was a minister of a chozla king. he worte a number of poems one of them is kodikavi which you can see in most of temples near to the kodimaram. with regards s.anandanatarajan
as far as i know the only acknowledged sidhdhar in the 63 nayanmars is thirumoolar sidhars i feel are more mystic than the routine saints and who qualifies more than vallalaar? perhaps since he is much more recent we do not give him the value he justly deserves. know what that area around chidambaram produced so many mystics over two centuries vallalar in vadalur, raghavendra in bhuvanagiri, and abhiramapattar in thiru kadavur
umapathi sivam sang the kodi kavi when the flag for the kodiyetram vizha refused to rise just like senthanar who sang to move the chidambaram temple charriot that was mired in mud
