Another one I was impressed by was "Kongu naatu komaan", though it might have hardly any fact. I read a tattered copy, which did not have the author, worse I never could find the II part of the book.
The first part is set mostly in Manyakheta of Rashtrakutas under the reign of Amoghavarsha. The protogonist is Aditya I Chozha, other characters like
Sthanu Ravi of Cheras, Vikkiannan, Ganga Prithvipathi, Krishna Rashtrakuta, Gunga Vijayaditya and Bhima of E.Chalukyas, Kambha/Aparajita of Pallavas, of course Vijayalaya figure in it. I think the story leads to the battle of Thirupurambiyam which could rank in S.India history on par Rakshasi-Thangadi, Waterloo, Panipat etc., of other eras.
If somebody has any info on the book, I would be grateful.
