    Gokul has written extensively on Pallippadai.

    It is basically an attempt to godify a human.

    That is how temples were put up - over the Samadhis of the Scholars / Siddhas.

    Unfortunately, since I don't live in India, meeting you all in chennai this
    summer will not be possible. Anyway, I shall broach the subject to my friend
    and see what he says. Also, please call me "Arun" or "AK". The "Mr" is not
    really necessary :)
