Is there a way to influence the education ministry?. And where does education fit into on the Central/State/concurrent list??.. It's patheitc to realise that we don't know about the place where we were born / grew up..
India is a big and diverse country. A plan has to be made so that each region including the north-east gets its share. Currently the problem with Indian history is that it's hijacked by vested interests.. They try to interpret history to suit their own agendas.
We should study history as it is.. and based on facts.. With the clear distinction to be made that historic injustices cannot be used to create new injustices..
