Banari amman
  • Dear SPS
That was a very thoughtful mail
    Thank you

As for as Bannari amman or any amman we all believe that there is someone up there watching us all at least I believe.

Totally unrelated but now that you have raised the issue of bannari amman...If you go in the evening across that road every bus and lorry and vehiclke will stop and offer their prayers to bannari irrespective of religeon or state...

You have to cross that to venture into the ghats when going to mysore from coimbatore very spectacular and dangerous even today imagine how it would have been in the days of PS because alwarkadiyan chases ravidasan and nandhini...

I can never forget bannari...we used to live in hunsur past mysore and still came back to coimbatore for any health related issues for either me or my brother....

If you are travelling from mysore after chamrajanagar its foressts till thimbam and then downward climb thru the forests till sathi....

Once when my father was working in sbm we were travelling from mysore when thilak was unwell with pnemonia...we didnt find seats in the bus but the driver offered to have us if we agreed to sit in the floor...
pillai pasam they agreed thilak was three i was 7 and he had a raging temperature of 39*

when we reached near thimbam at 1.00 am we were told that the buses wont go because a checkpost officer had hit a driver and there was a srike ....buses ad lorries were just queing up in the cold winter....

No amount of reasoning and pleading helped including explaining that there was a child who might not survive if he didnt reach the hospital by morning...

I still remember my mother with thilak in her arms with tears flowing and praying aloud to bannari amman....

within half an hour a forest officer passing thru in his jeep understood the problem and reached for police help and the traffic moved in the next haour we reached kumaran hospital and were told had we come a few hours later you wouldnt have a ex member of PS today....

so god does listen to us all ,,,,,all we need is a trust and faith and he or she will answer accordingly...to us the forest officer was indeed the amman herself....

That is why I said earlier we did not mediators to reach god .....all we need is trust faith and believe and he/she will be there always for us
