Papanasam – Papavinasa Perumal Thirukkalyanam Near Kumbakonam
This temple's Moolavar - Papanvinasa Perumal acquired the epithet Papavinasa Perumal due to purging of the sins of the adorers with a mere single darsan and the Thayar is Pangajavalli. During the Brahmosthavam, the “Thirukkalyanam” festival was performed.The ustavar is Srinivasa perumal.This is the oldest temple and the architecture is very beautiful.
