Specialty of Akshaya Tritiya day (12 Garudaseva in Kumbakonm)
As per Hindus, this day is ruled by god vishnau, the preserver-god in the Hindu Trinity. It is also traditionally celebrated as the birthday of the Hindu sage Parashurama, the sixth Avatar (incarnation) of the god Vishnu. The word "Akshaya" means the never diminishing in Sanskrit and the day is believed to bring good luck and success. It is believed that if you do charity on this day you will be blessed
On the Akshaya Tritiya day, Kusela went to meet his childhood friend Lord Krishna with the hope of solving his poverty as Krishna was a very rich king. Kusela came over to Krishna's palace to request him for some financial help. However, he could only afford to carry along rice flakes or beaten rice to greet Krishna. Though he was ashamed initially to share the rice flakes with Lord Krishna, Krishna forced him to give those rice flakes. The moment Krishna tasted those flakes, Kusela's poverty vanished and he became rich overnight. When he reached his place, Kusela 's old hut was transformed into a palace! He found his family dressed in royal attire and everything around was new and expensive. Kusela knew that it was a boon from Krishna, who blessed him with more than the wealth he actually intended to ask for. Therefore, Akshaya Tritiya is associated with material gains and wealth acquisition.
