The Kumbeswara temple is considered to be the oldest Saivite shrine in the town. It was constructed by the Medieval Cholas period. The Natyanali Festival is performed here over 3 days. More than 500 artists were participated in this festival from all over the globe. The Young Artists also participated in this great festival.
