Thiru cherai-Pancha saramKshetram – Thai Poosam Festival
Sri SaranathanPerumal, Sri SaranayakiThayar,SaraKshetram, SaraVimanamand SaraPushkarini, are here and so it isPancha Sara Kshetram. Thai Poosamis important here. Kaveri is said to have been betrothed to the Lord and has her own temple near the tank (Sara Pushkarani). The Kuthirai vahanam is the 8th day festival. The next day is Thai Poosam Festival. This is the only temple with Thai Poosam Festival.
