    The Brihadeeswara Temple is
one of the India’s most valuable Monument and Big Temple. The Nandhi is also very
big with measuring in approximately 12 feet in height, 20 feet in length and 18
feet in width. The Nandhi (Hoy Bull) is Shiva’s primary vehicle in the
Temple.of Siva, we find that the Nandhi is in front of the deity. The truth is
that just as Lingam is the symbol of Pramathma and the Nandhi is the symbol of
Jeevathma. A person entering the temple always honors Nandhi first, as a way of
asking his permission and approval to go into the temple and workship the God
Siva. In the Mattu Pongal day, the Nandhi Pooja was performed in the Big temple
and decorated with full of Vegetable, Fruits and sweets.
