In KANCHI, mutt puja coincides with muezzin's call .. and it is beautiful says a Bhajan Singer - who never missed to sing in the bhajan in early mornings almost every day for the past 9 years !
While the Priests at the Peetam go about chanting their slokas, the prayers go on at the mosque next door simultaneously and it is celebration of the harmonious co-existence of two religions. " We share four of the five prayer timings " says the pontiff with a smile.

The Hon'ble PM Appealed ::
The High Court Judgment expected to be delivered on 30.9.2010 needs to be treated with the utmost respect and at this stage is one stop in the long judicial process.
The Government appeals to all sections of society to maintain peace and order after the delivery of judgment.
NOTHING MUST BE SAID OR DONE AND NOTHING MUST HAPPEN that may cause us to deviate from our goals of ensuring the highest traditions of Indian CULTURE and respect for all religions.
We shall continue to respect the same and be heeding to the Appeal by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India .
