Murals of reclining Shiva, Nataraja - SADHASIVA BRAHMAM
  • Sadasiva Brahmendra - some more news

    1. He wrote a book on the seers of Kanchi Sankara Mutt. - During the time of Paramasivendra

    2. He, Sri Bodendra Saraswathi of Kanchi mutt & Thiruvisanallur Sridhara Aiyyaval were contempraries. All the 3 spread the singing of God's name.

Once Sadasiva brahmendra was sitting on a tree, sridhara ayyaval requested him that he should not keep mouna vrat and spread bhakthi through nama samkeerthana.

On hearing this, he jumped down from the tree singing " Broohi Muhunde " ( popularised by MS). He sung 20-30 songs ( he spoke only for singing those songs) - Popular ones are - Manasa Sanjarare,Pibare Ramarasam, Smaravaram etc

The then king of Pudukkottai got Mantropadesam from him. Being a mouna Guru, he taught the mantra to the king by writing it on the sand. I have heard that , that sand was kept in worship in pudukkottai palace.
  • Thanks sir for the correction.

some news on the vadavambalam brindavan

The Vadvambalam brindavanam was lost in time. I have read that Kanchi Mahaswami was searching that area with people. Mahaswami and the group could not locate but continued searching and digging at various points in that village.

Suddenly one person had a vision of a swamiji standing 50-60- ft tall with many sishyas reciting vedas.

That swamiji showed a place to this person and he in turn told it to Mahaswami.

Mahaswami immediately asked the people to dig that place and - found the remains of the old brindavanam.

Howdy, Stranger!
