Hi SPS Sir, I think you are referring to the thread where we discussed about Narasimha images in Pallava times. As I posted this question to our group, somehow the context was not properly set by me and also the mail subject was not proper.
I want to understand that why there is no Narasimha image found in the monuments which are or can be assigned to Mamalla. If the name, Narasimhavarman, suggests affinity to Narasimha avtar then why there is no image found in his monuments. Till now we got one cave temple, Singa Perumal near Tenkasi, where such an image exists however no one knows to whose time this shrine can be assigned. There are some efforts planned from some of the esteemed members to see if they can read an inscription which is there in this temple.
There is an article that there is an inscription near the moola moorthi but were not allowed to read. That is to be confirmed. 2 in the pillars are read and are RRC period.
