ancient wisdoms in vedic hinduism-6
  • Origins of existentialism: (kathopanisad-3)

    yama continues,
The highest truth and happiness are two different things
They should not be inter-related or confused with each other
The person who differentiates these two are rare and they are the yogi
If the higest truth is not understood will only lead to repeated cycling of thoughts, futile deeds and rituals.
It cannot be achieved by intellectual discussions or debates alone. But can be received from a guru.
The heaven is imaginary and is transient
The absolute truth is in the mind but it is not part of mental process
When we ignore the past and future, the time, place, action, goodness, beuty and persons then we are prepared enough for the truth
It can be symbolized as "aum". But that is not the truth.
The absolute truth is eternal, pervasive and beyond senses.
It is in you,me and everythings animate or not
It is the search for the truth that is in our hands and the truth is beyond the search for the most
Discipline, sense control, concentration and emotions control is vital for the search
The search is an eternal journey but death is a momentary halt
Search is like the food and the death is a pickle in it.
