PON MAALIGAI
  • Dear,

Sundara - Parantaka II - was known as PON MAALIGAI THUNJIYA THEVAR!
Lord passed away in the Golden Palace. Karikalan constructed a
Golden Palace .. as per Tvlgdu Copper plates...

Hence Kalki put forward a theory like that.

In effect, such Palace existed in Nandhipuram and Sundara & his wife
did not go to Kanchi - but to Nandhipuram and passed away there.
    Hence Pallippadai temples!

Sastry refers Parthivendran as conteporary of AK. Kalki chose AK's
abode as Kanchi... may be because of this .. influence of materials
collected for S.Sabadam... But Dr. Kalakkovan's Varalaru clearly
indicates that in Kanchi also there existed a Chozha palace and
Uthama Chozha ordered in 978AD provision of private Vaykkal from a
Lake as requested by Uthama Chozha Moovenda Velalan (who later
changed his name as Rajaraja Moovenda Velalan in 988 AD) - who is
reported to have replaced our Anirudha Brahmarayar after Sundara's
    period!
