  • Hi,
If I visit these places, high on mountain and where Ganga flows, I would prefer to drink water from the river itself. Of course not from ghats which are polluted by people bathing and washing with soap, but from less frequented places. It would be a blasphemy if I say that our rivers are not polluted. Yes these are in many ways we are responsible for it, and yes major responsibility lies with the the people who are appointed to clean these rivers. Not all but many are so corrupted that the allocated funds never get utilised into the intended cause. But then what should be done is a big question and could not be answered in a very easy manner. It surely requires a big mindset change, from every Indian,in the way we lead our life and the impact of it on the social and environmental surroundings.
