Most of us agree that keeping what the boss wants in our mind and doing it helps!!
If you thought this was a modern office phenomenon, think again!! In the 9 11th centuries, the Chola kings had an empire much larger and diverse than our state today; it spanned most south India ,maldives , Sri Lanka and Southeast Asia . One critical success factor was the bureaucracy. Learn some tantalizing tips on the bureaucracy that are 100% relevant to us today as well in the tour of the Dhenupureeswara temple in Madambakkam (off the Velachery main road, between Pallikaranai and Tambaram)
The temple is not only rich in inscriptions that are related to the functioning of a Chola bureaucracy but has some stunning and very rare Vijayanagar sculptures, many that cannot be seen elsewhere! A short tour of this temple, which is surely one of our city's best kept secrets, is on two dates
Sunday June 13th 445PM to 530PM
OR
Sunday July 4th 445PM to 530PM
