There are many places associated with various charectors of Ramayana.
Let us now move on to some temples related to Ramayana Charectors.

Though there are many such temples ( will give a list at the end) i have consideredonly thetemples which have literary and epigaraphical proof upto early chola period.

Vaitheeswaran koil - Thevara name Pul irukku velur - Pul ( Bird-Jatayu & sambati) Irukku ( Rig veda) Vel ( Muruga) Oor. This temple is worshipped by them.

This reference is Given by Sambandar himself in Thevaram. He also sings on Jatayu's fight with Ravana in the sky.

கள்ளார்ந்த பூங்கொன்றை மதமத்தங் கதிர்மதியம்
உள்ளார்ந்த சடைமுடியெம் பெருமானா ருறையுமிடந்
தள்ளாய சம்பாதி சடாயென்பார் தாமிருவர்
புள்ளானார்க் கரையனிடம் புள்ளிருக்கு வேளூரே.

All the 10 songs refer Jatayu and Sambathi

In this in songs 2,4,6,8,9,10 - Jadayu, his fight with Ravana is mentioned.

3, 5,7 refers Sampathi.
