We have been keeping away from certain sensitive subjects.
Those sensitivities - were not permitted to be discussed in our Group in the past... atleast recent past... and we shall continue our efforts in promoting or retaining the harmony.
And we need not get into any negative aspects of what happened in another egroup as well...
Primarily these are not relevant... though some of us resort to such communications to certain inner circles through private mails.. which serves its purpose.
The proposed meet is a warming up one - since several Scholars from various fields are likely to reach Chennai ahead of a World Tamil meet and we availing their presence and sharing their wisdom ...
Especially when they are attending at the special invitation by the Government of Tamilnadu, I do not see any special reason why we should distance them or distance ourselves from them.
Particularly you know so well how we are so inclined in promoting harmony among us = which us include those interested in common aims ...
For me Cholas may be important... for another Classical Tamil literature may be important.. i may see merits in your promoting the feel in Sculptures... yet we may have disagreements in certain aspects...
that is why i mentioned let us look at the points on which we have agreements and move away from gray specs.
If need be - let us get into collective moderation - involving Sridhar - Gokul - Thiru and others...
