Dear Friends, I've got a question, somewhat related to this topic: Rajput clans in the north have a 'pristine locale', at least that's what Col. Tod called it. What would you say is the p. l. of each of the great South Indian dynasties? Their holiest spot, often their puranic place of origin? [As the fire pit on Abu, is source of the AgniKula Rajputs] And who were the KulaDevata, Deva & Devi of each dynasty? Some may have been changed over time, too, of course. This is probably in the notes somewhere, but would love to have that info here. SPS saying that Chozhas were Suryavansi like Rama, that Aditya was their forefather, made me think of the question.
