Easana Siva Pandithar was Guru of Rajaraja I.
After the demise of RRC, he continued to be the guru of Rajendra I..
Before Easana's demise, he gave an IDOL to the Big temple and also gave grants for Deepam. (Ref SII - 82 - Vole 2 Part III - given below from our Archieves)..
SARVA SIVA PANDITHAR was also Rajendra I's guru - mostly followed Easana - after his demise.
The Esalam Temple was constructed as per Sarva Siva Pandithar's wishes. Put ESALAM in Search and you will find the details of the Esalam copper plates etc from from here.
ult and he was incharge of PANCHAVAN MADEVI PALLIPPADAI (near Pazhayarai) also...
But so far, the MOVEMENT of EASANA SIVA PANDHITHAR was confined only to Thanjai - Pazhayarai surroundings.
First time - our dear Nandakumar mentioned that EASANA NAME is seen in Kanchi side inscriptions too.
Hence I sought confirmation WHETHER the NAME IS EASANA SIVA PANDITHAR or SARVA SIVA PANDITHAR since Esalam area (near Tindivanam) is closer to Kanchi surrounding...
Interestingly, Brahmadesam (near Kanchi ) inscription mentions of having given a Water pot IN MEMORY OF RAJENDRA I..
In the light of these, Nandakumar's mail assumes more significance.
