Dear SPS: Thanks a lot. All these numbers puts one in astonishment. Taking 20,000 horses or 900+ elephants across the country is a mammoth task. It is not one or two horses that need to be tended and herded, the numbers are in thousands. The number of people needing to just transport these animals, equipment, war machinery and people are mind numbing. We are not talking about transporting these across a few kilometers.
How much inflation occurs in these numbers? And what is survival rate of animals and people? Definitely the survival rate will be high as one climbs the hierarchical ladder.
