Since 1960 atleast - majority of the inscriptions which were copied during - say 20 - 30 years prior to independence - were not worked into... lying idle and getting detoriated in Mysore ASI basements.
During our very early visit Dr. Kalaikkovan has talked to us on this.. say in 2003.
Since then WE - our Group - used every opportunity to impress upon this.. and moved collective Opinion...
I remember this having been brought in Dr. Iravatham's Tamil Brahmi book release - Tholliyal Conferences... etc., etc.,
We have also taken up through TN Central Ministers and State Ministers too ..
For the past 5 years definitely there has been movement... in this direction.
Prior to our meet when checked with Tamil University - was told that MOU signed with Mysore ASI ... and not much happened later..
Again the subject is STIRRED.... atleast some more movement is there.
We all will be very very happy when the DIGITALISATION is accomplished...
Ours is the FIRST GROUP offered FREE SUPPORT for Digitialisation .. and we have submitted our Memorandum also to the Power corridars 5 years back...
