  • That's a very good news. I'm sure there were a lot of temples which lost its original charm due to a lot of reasons like renovation, not being taken care, etc. Hope this initiative by the government doesn't stick just to the inscriptions, but also to the temples.

    I still remember a temple from my native village (Nallur, in Tirupur district) had a beautiful Shiva temple which seemed to have built by Sundara Pandiyan (village was called as Sundara Pandiya Nallur), but the old temple was renovated (actually everything was destroyed, and a new one was built). Do you guys have any other information about this place, and the temple? There are quite a few Shiva temples in this region, and I've heard people saying there is an underground pass connecting them together. Not sure.
