For those who have been contributing for a long time ( say more than a couple of years atleast), we are well aware we are avoiding discussions leading to conflict among fellow members.
For those who joined recently, it has been regularly pointed out to go through the discussios in the archieves to have a feel of the forum..
Specifically the first 300 mails re discusios on Kalki's PS the influence of the magnun opum which has caused us to assemble here.
No doubt we discuss so many things outside Literature... more of History, temple activities, traditions, contemporaries, etc., etc.
Of late we are seeing members complain that a THREAD (TOPIC) started get derailed ..due to side-tracking the issue ...
And for that the COUNTER is let us discuss FACTs or WHAT IS WRAPPED UNDER THE CARPET....
We, the moderators, are aware of the freedom of expression of the members ... But in a Group Harmony is important..
Discussion on Casteism definitely leads to disruption in Harmony ..
More or less the Values cherished in the Group are highlighted in our Home Page ... Casteism does not find a place there.
When Dr.Kailasam commenced this thread - soliciting more details on the LIFE OF T V S ) - I felt very heppy because I read the Biography of Hundai maker :: THE PATH PAVED WITH GOLD..
Definitely such attempt on a Auto Giant is much needed to motivate our younger generation ...
The discussion so far produced the basic data that TVS maintained PANCTUALITY well.. which I am sure even Kailasam is aware and most of us (I travelled in TVS Buses to my college to Trichy from Pudukottai - which leaves on time whether there was a Passenger or Not) are also aware..
But the subject is taking a twist on Caste based discussion .. and about 20 mails back it was reaching a close naturally and suddenly again coming up..

Just because we love Ponniyinselvan, it does not mean that EVERYONE shares all the OTHER IDEALS of all the other members...
For discussing such ideals, there may be Groups available in the net.

I am again and again pained that there is no response to Vairam's SANGAM LITERATURE or Nataraj's Vaaram Oru Alayam or his audio support for Kalki's works.
I also see and realise that Moderator Krupa is silent more than the others. Gokul is preoccupied.. Dr. Sridhar is also very busy due to his extensive travelling to his work place.
Venkat and me are only vitually keeping the keys of Moderation.
It is painful to put this kind of mail in our Group - which is considered one among the ELITE in the Literary - History Forum.
Worried these discussions will tend the Scholarly participants too as Silent members and we will miss to share the best of their knowledge.
