சிறு வயதில் இருந்தே எனக்கு கோயில்களில் உள்ள வாயிற் காப்போன்கள் மீது ஒரு கண். அதனால் அவர்களை பற்றி ஒரு தொடரை இங்கே எழுதவேண்டும் என்று நினைத்தேன். நாம் முன்னரே தஞ்சை பெரிய கோயில் மற்றும் மாங்காடப்பத்து வாயிற் காப்போங்களை பற்றி பார்த்தோம். பொதுவாக எல்லா கோயில்களிலும் இருக்கும் இவர்களின் சிற்பங்களை இப்போதெல்லாம் எவரும் பார்ப்பது கூட இல்லை. அருமையான அதிகார தோரணையில், கம்பீரமாக தங்கள் வெவ்வேறு ஆயுதங்களை ஏந்தி இருக்கும் இவர்களை அடுத்தமுறை செல்லும் போது கண்டிப்பாக பாருங்கள்
