Well, I visited Vijayanagar not with ponniyinselvan group, but with some of my colleagues. Not like-minded people, but as you said, people of the popcorn culture, whom I managed to drag with me. Had a tough time with them. After the first 1 or 2 hours they started complaining like 'Oh, all the stones look the same', 'Why can't we go to see Tungabadra dam?', 'What is there to see in these broken temples?'. :( You can imagine my frustration. I tried vainly to educate them on the significance of those broken stones, what they stood for, what they fell for, but no use. :(

To travel to that place from Karwar, it was hectic. Just then I was reminded of Narasimha bringing a huge army with arms, food, cooks, doctors etc, and striking a great fort like Badami?
