To Great PS Members
  • Hi Kamal,

    Welcome to the group.

Well, I visited Vijayanagar not with ponniyinselvan group, but with some of
my colleagues. Not like-minded people, but as you said, people of the
popcorn culture, whom I managed to drag with me. Had a tough time with them.
After the first 1 or 2 hours they started complaining like 'Oh, all the
stones look the same', 'Why can't we go to see Tungabadra dam?', 'What is
there to see in these broken temples?'. :( You can imagine my frustration. I
tried vainly to educate them on the significance of those broken stones,
what they stood for, what they fell for, but no use. :(

In my other site http://bidjanagar.topcities.com I have some photos of
places visited by the ponniyinselvan group in the second trip (Those taken
by Yagna). Have a look at them.

Lucky Ms. Gayathri that I found a friend who is of my same wave length. To
travel to that place from Karwar, it was hectic. Just then I was reminded
of Narasimha bringing a huge army with arms, food, cooks, doctors etc, and
striking a great fort like Badami? But I really think Sivagami is Kalki's
own imagination and its the attack of Pulikesi on Kanchi that invited his
wrath.(Vera opinion irunthal koncham clear pannungappa) Ange avanta naan
ketten, narasimha varman, inga than nadanthiruppan, koncham urundudalamanu?

    Vaidy
