THIRUMANGALYAM - Thava Janai taatanka Mahima
  • In Soundarya Lahari, of Great Adhi Shankara Bagavat Paada, in Verse 28,

sudham apy asvadya pratibhaya jaramrtu harinim
    vipadyante visve vidhisatamakhadya divisadaha
    karalam yat kevalam kabalitavataha kalakalana
na sambhos tanmulam* tava janani tatanka mahima *

And Tatankam is earring. This Tatankam is considered to be the embodiment of
Shakthi. Thats why the pious had it to subdue the Great Goddess
Akilandeshwari at Thiruaanaikaa. And this Taatankam is maintained by Kanchi
    Mutt.

Ok, coming to the point. Does this mean during the times of Great
Adhishankara, Thali was not in practice? Else, it must have been mentioned
    in here.

I can still argue statung this is Soundarya Lahari and not the Aanada
Lahari, whihc takes the first part to times of Yore.

    Any thoughts?
    Subramaniam
