Dear all, Those who have read the panchamoolam will realise that some of the issues highlighted by Dr.Kalaikovan can be addressed by us. One of the important points is that the research papers are not available to one and all - this results in repetitive research on the same topic with no new results. Dr.K gives the example of Thirunedungalam temple being researched almost on same grounds 6 to 7 times unnecessarily. collecting various research papers. What we need to do is to have some sort of web based database that can record all the existing research on historical topics which will serve as a ref point for all. In developed countries, each university has a dedicated website and you can access all the research papers in one go. Here we do not have such a system and hence the onus falls on us. Let me know what you guys think. We are already thinking about a database driven website for varalaaru etc. This makes it an absolute necessity.
