Can someone elaborate of the significance of stala vrikshams, Bali peedam and gajastambam.
elders tell us to fall infront of the balipeeda ( something about 5 parts or 8 parts of the body touching the ground) etc, but should we fall infront of the balipeeda or infront of the flagstaff. we used to bow to flagstaff and asked to take sankalpa!!
