    Re the famous QUOTE of SEMIBIAN MADEVI THIRUVAYIRUDITHA UT HAMA
    CHOZHA, I have earlier mailed - now repeated - quote from
    PAPANASAM (Kudanthai - Thanjai) temple inscriptions ::

    RRC in his 7th (992) year has reviewed all the grants - tax free
    lands etc and upon finding several irregularities only ordered NEW
    SURVEY in 1000 - with famous "Ulagalandhan kole". In 992, in
    Papapanasam he checked all the grants and REINSCRIBED THEM in
    various Panels. Panel 1 to 8 contained the inscriptions of Uthama
    duly reinscribed which read " Uthama chozhar is yaandu ... in
    st panel and ends in the 8th panel as "Sembiyanmadevi
    thiruvayiruditha
    Uthama chozhar //" and RRC continues " in 7th Regnl yr of RRC ..."
    and orders continuation of earlier grants and gives additional
    grants also..

    Therefore, RRC adopted what was being said earlier by Uthama and
    these are not the terms coined by Rajaraja Chozha himself! One
    cannot also rule out a sarcasm!

    in this inscription also there is mention (by RRC):

    Idhuvum pazhankalli vettinapadi ::
