Apr 5 2005: Cabinet to get report on lost city in August The Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry will submit to the Cabinet in August a report on the initial findings of its expedition to the lost city of Kota Gelanggi in Johor.
Hi back from a long drive down south. happened to see poompuhar. a long walk on the beach to the place where cauvery joins the sea. an on going operation is loading large granite stones along the sea to prevent incursions. wondered when the city was swallowed by the sea.
swallowing or a tsunami I wondered. it was more likely the latter for a sea level rise is usually slow.
many scientists have postulated that the violent eruption of indonesian volcano Krakatoa in 535 AD may have been responsible for the tsunami and global climate changes of 535-536. is this date possible? venketesh
