-Nandini, mandakini and pungkuzhali are 3 charecters whose emotions are not understood by the charecters of the ps as well as the readers. perhaps kalki meant it to be that way. an interesting fact is that all of them are blood related. readers of ps always imagine sendan amudan to be ayoung boy where as nandini or palaiya mathuranthagan to be much older. but all of them were born ( perhaps) on the same day. nandini gives the impression of being mature by her behaviour.
one of my cherished experiences is being associated with three fans of kalki who named their daughters vanathi,pungkuzhali and nandini.
atleast the heroines of ps and parthiban kanavu and to an extent ss are much better off that kalki's other heroines they smile, they seduce, they seem more normal.
thyagaboomi and ali osai have heroines who mope most of the time. and by the way kalki's grand daughter the present editor of the magazine is called seetha.
I think a host of girls go around bearing the names of kalki's kaviya thalaivikal.( enna sps , correctaa?)
