After Arcelor Deal by the Richest Indian Laxmi Mittal, Traditional Aristocrat - Rathan Tata - finalised a British Steel deal for about 36000 Crores - twice the Annual Foreign Direct Investment (into India) - reported India Today recently.
When Jamshedji Tata wanted to go into Steel manufacture, the British did not allow him to raise funds from Public. Pandit (hailing from those Kashmiri Pandits who performed Siva Puja in Mt Kailash traditionally) Motilal Nehruji was one among those few who funded the project!
And while reading that Kamala Nehru was imprisoned just 5 miles away from Jawarlal Nehruji's prison - and hardly it matters whether 5 miles or 150 miles with the high rise of walls of prison around .. - the effects of Colonisation do reoccur in our minds ..
Imagine the great grand son of such Tata finalising the biggest Steel in the Empire that (supposedly) ruled the World!
