    Here's a neat idea - a visual map of the various kingdoms over time.

    While reading about the middle-east, I ran into this site that has
    outlined the history of this area over time. Take a look at it here:

    This site is best viewed with a good internet connection. Click on
    PLAY and view the changing map.

    Something along these lines for the various kingdoms of South India
    will be a good teaching tool not just in schools but for all of us to
    quickly grasp the reach of some of our kings.
