I noticed only handful of persons indulge in such " Adra sakkai" correspondences.
But at times they contribute some good stuff also. When they have such wonderful things to share here, I do not know why such petty mails in this highly regarded literary forum

the very handful have contributed some of the best of threads if you look back at the archives. if you count me in the handful I ll like to point out a few things. most of these people were lucky enough to visit tanjore in the recent trip as a group . never before has so much friendship risen between so different people. regardless of age or social chasms friendships were formed only on the basis of love for kalki and the cholas. amidst so many groups which have folded up their stuff and vanished this group thrives and grows because of the home like atmosphere thats been created.such playful banter and interaction helps to create a great atmosphere in which knowledge and creativity is fostered. what some people want is a class room with yes miss no miss types but such groups have vanished. with warm regards venketesh
Dear Venkat and all I think there is quiet a lot of truth in what Easwaran says.... a freindly banter is always welcome but it becomes too much when you have to read 200 mails in a weekend! there are a few people who read all mails I do that SPS does that as well and many more do it but it becomes really difficult to keep up with banter and read all the good mails and threads... It makes it a lot more difficult if the Subjects are not changed Second multilingual mails are even more painful....I am not trying to run a yes miss no miss class here but to have a quaorum so that everyone gains.... I would give you examples of good threads getting swamped in these number chasing mails.... I find it difficult to cope because I tend to read my mails at 6.00 am or at 2300 or between cases in the theatre so its difficult and I guess the same for people who are in other professions So lets respect their sentiments If you are typing your mails in unicode or english we all will have a laugh rather than curse and strain our eys you have a choice
