    I recently came to know that, every year, RK Mutt, during the celebration
    of Ramakrishnar, Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda’s birthdays, give 40%
    discount in their book store. Realized, just missed Swami Vivekananda’s
    birthday on 12 Jan.

    18th Feb is Sri Ramakrishna’s 175 birthday and hope they hae this discount
    on that day too….

    People interested may use this opportunitiy.

    Ramakrishna Mutt does not follow English Calendar.
    It celebrates and gives Discount only on the birth star/Thithi
    which falls on the hindu calendar like Rama Navami
    and Janmasthami.
    The date will vary year to year.
    You can check for the dates in http://www.chennaimath.org

    So Jan 12 you will not find celebrations in Ramakirshna Mutt.
    40% discount is given even on Kalpataru day which is 1st Jan
    which is holy day due to an incident in Sri Ramakrishna’s History.
