Dear Madam,
I am very thankful to you for enjoying the story. The historical story is based on the practices adopted on those days.
The restrictions on the arrest of persons is based on the historical inscriptions.
The said inscriptions was made on 25th regnal year of the Chola king Rajaraja chola I, which is found on a pillar in the mandapa in front of the Varadaraja perumal temple, in Kaveripakkam village, Arakonam taluk, North Arcot district.
The restrictions on the arrest were mentioned in the inscription
In the said inscriptions among other things it is mentioned ,
The mahasabha are exempted from accepting any instrument of legal action (karana)(warrent of arest to be executed) either on a full moon day (uva), the first day of the bright fortnight (pratipat) or the sankranti day
In case any such instrument of action is served no male (purushas) or female member (strikal) should be taken to the village assembly hall (or court-ambalam).
Those who takes women to the court hall (in centravention of this decision) commit crime against the king and the village assembly.
Therefore, our great heroine karthikai correctly pointed out the illegal arrest of anatha varmanbefore mayavan as well asgreat king and won the case.
Thank you once again Madam for your kind remarks
