    The belur sculpture doesnt have tail but normal legs, is the other avathar’s
    also like this in belur? But the kayal’s eye is like fish’s eye.

    hi,

    i will be in chennai mid of december and planning a few trips around
    Tanjore, Kumbakonam, coimbatore, madurai and tiruparankundram. If members
    can recommend a few good sites to visit ( am not spiritual and the interests
    are more for sculptural beauty) would be very helpful to me

    I don’t know how long you will stay in Madurai, there is a nice Perumal Temple in Thadikombu near Dindigul and the Dindigul Fort. If you have not visited the fort, it may be a good place to stop.
